She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene A. Fletcher (Mesmer) and Harold W. Fletcher; her husband Gordon L. Carkhuff; her son Gerald Carkhuff; and her son-in-law Bill Pilger.
She is survived by: her children, Thelma Pilger of Jensen Beach, Paul Carkhuff of Champion and Jeffrey Carkhuff (Terri) of Gustavus; her daughter-in-law Diane Carkhuff of Midwest City, OK; and her grandchildren, Benn Carkhuff (Colleen), Laraine Hendrix (Nicholas), Lindsay Daywalt (Dan), Stacey Baldridge (Derek), Michelle Polon (Joe), Jennifer Somerville (John), Carrie Carkhuff, John Carkhuff (Stephanie) and Maggie Carkhuff. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
