She is survived by: her parents, Lowell Hammond and Margaret "Peg" Cox Hammond; her husband Jay C. Mitchell; her children, Colt Mitchell of Kingston and Darby Griesheimer (Sydney) of California; her grandchild Dawson Mitchell; and her sister Tammy Hill of Kingston. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
