She was predeceased by: her mother Viola Dobbelaere (Harrow); and her sisters, Franny Dobbelaere and Julie Dobbelaere. She is survived by: her father Morris Dobbelaere of Paulding; her children, Jackson Althauser and Delaney Althauser; her siblings, Cathy Thornell (Larry), Cindy Skiver (Rich), Tom Dobbelaere (Shelly), Tim Dobbelaere (Tammy) and Carol Gross (Mark); and her close friend Randy Scharf.

Memorial donations in Denise's honor may be made to the Hardin County Community Foundation or the Paulding County Foundation.
