It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeffrey D. Thompson (Jewett, Ohio), who passed away on June 29, 2018, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Chesshir Thompson; his son Greg Alan Thompson; and his sister Ann Ferguson (Gordon). He is also survived by son several nieces and nephews.

“I've known Jeff for years, ever since he started in Outdoor Ministries as the manager of Pilgrim Hills, and I worked with him in many Confirmation Camps. I always looked forward to seeing him each summer! Jeff was a GEM. He was the right guy in the right place doing the right job! He worked tirelessly, and always with a smile, and a laconic and witty sense of humor. He ceaselessly bent over backward to welcome and aid campers and camp staff from across the Ohio Conference. He excelled in making the church camp experience a good one for everybody. Jeff was always johnny-on-the-spot whenever there was a problem...and he was always calm in a crisis! The camping program of the Ohio Conference will never be the same without him...CONTINUING Prayers for Carolyn and his whole family--may God grant you an abundance of strength and peace in this difficult time!”
