He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Terence McQuade and Genevieve McQuade; his sisters, Mary (Dittman) and Agnes (Sibert); his former wife Katherine Lucy Green; his son Thomas Edward McQuade Jr.; his wife Karen; his children, Andi Hanson (Todd), Gloria Crousser (David), David McQuade (Victoria), Patrick McQuade (Mary Therese), Denis McQuade (Anne) and Gina LaVe, Sr. (Denny); and his daughter-in-law Renee McQuade. He was also cherished by 36 grandchildren, both of his sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
