He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard J. Armbruster and Laura E. Armbruster (Rettig). He is survived by: his wife Kay Watkins; his children, Debra Stevenson (Jeffry) and Douglas Armbruster; his grandchildren, Adam Stevenson, Kathleen Borck (Andrew) and Abigail Stevenson; and his great grandchildren, Natalie, Jordyn and Adalynn Borck. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
