He was predeceased by: his father Russell Staley; his son Mason Kinsey Staley; and his grandson Hayden. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Staley (Kinsey); his children, Ryan Staley (Kim) of Harrod and Hannah Holmes (Patrick) of Harrod; his daughter-in-law Kayla Staley of Shawnee; and his siblings, Thad Staley (JoAnn) of LaFayette, Matt Staley (Jill) of LaFayette, Rita Holman (Robert) of LaFayette, Jane Rayl of LaFayette and Gina Burley (Todd) of Williamsport, PA.. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren.
