She was predeceased by: her mother Nellie Smith (Mason); and her siblings, Johnny Smith, Earnest Smith, Randall Smith and Cleda Jackson.
She is survived by: her father Richard Smith; her husband Robert "Poke" Palte of Beaverdam; her siblings, Beve Smith of Berea, KY, Martha Ann "Gail" Whitt of Lima and Ada Marlene Shannon (Wayne) of Knoxville, TN; and her siblings-in-law, Sue Palte (Bob), Sandy Conley (Mike), Tom Palte (Anne), Tim Palte (BJ) and Steven Palte (Angie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
