She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel Newman; her parents, Dana Lee James and Onie James (Yost); and her brother Donald James. She is survived by: her children, Mary Ellen Carpenter (Robert), Bryan Keith Newman (Kim), Lea Newman (Steve Odley), Harry Russell Newman (Gina) and Daniel Alvin Newman II (Pina); her grandchildren, Tonja, Traci, Lea Ann, Megan, Ryan, Katie, Rosemary, Danny, Paige, Joshua, Joseph, Lindsey, Zach, Dale and Nate; her friends, Benny, Tyler, Corey and Jesse Lane; and her siblings, Helen Jarret and Ronald James. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
