He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Hornbach and Mary Hornbach; his wife Marjorie L. Hornbach; and his sisters, Kathleen Haas, Irene Dickman and Marie Gillman.

He is survived by: his daughter Maureen Balent (Paul); his granddaughters, Emily and Rachel Balent; his siblings, Marjorie Miller Wendel and Andy Hornbach (Fran); and his sister-in-law Hazel Feller (Donald). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests memorials to be made to Crosby Township Fire & EMS, Crosby Township Senior Group or St. John the Baptist Church Building Fund.
