He is survived by: his nephew Denny Powell; his wife Dolly Maynard Whitson; his sons, James S. Whitson (Javonna Murphy) and Bradford W. Whitson (Tina Fleisher); his granddaughters, Lauren M. "Booger Face" D'Avanzo (Nickoli), Sydney "Sydroo" Whitson (Isaiah Baker) and Grace "Monkey Butt" Whitson; and his sisters, Joan "Toby" Lamb and Drema Powell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
