He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hughes and Lolly Hughes; his brother John Hughes; his sister-in-law Marilyn Hughes; and also, George Vansteenburgh and Betty Vansteenburgh.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Jackie Spears (Ron) and David Hughes; his great grandchildren, Tara (Kenny), Tucker, Taylor and Kaylee; his brother Rick Hughes; his sister-in-law Penny Hughes; his niece Jenny Bell; and his nephews, Mike Bell and Johnny Hughes. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends.
