He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Leo, Hilda Decot, Sarah and George Funk; his sister-in-law Cami Elkins Decot; his niece Margo L. Decot; and his nephew Richard Benjamin Decot.

He is survived by: his wife Ruby Jane Decot; his children, Mchael Decot (Sarah) and Ashley Decot; his grandson Jeremiah McFann; and his parents, Richard Decot and Rose Marie Decot. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
