With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Brenda Gail Backus of Groveport, Ohio, born in Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on May 19, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Spillman and Alma Spillman; her husband Frank Backus; her daughters, Alma Ramey and Chrissy Clark; and her siblings, Gary, Aaron Jr., Donald and Marty Spillman.
She is survived by: her children, Rachel Webb (Travis), Tonya Thompson (Walter), Gregory Backus (Connie), Johnathan Backus (Cindy) and Frank Backus; and her siblings, Carolyn Spillman, Anita Baker, Patty Spillman and Scott Spillman. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
