He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Looney and Juanita Smith Looney; his siblings, Donal, David, Bobby Looney and Alma Gail Looney; and his grandson Bryan Tarry.
He is survived by: his significant other Peggy Gifford Looney; his sons, Nelson Looney (Amy) and James "Rich" Looney (Karrie); his siblings, William "Bill" Looney, Glenna Wilder (Dave), Jeanette Lombardi and Ilene Rowe; his sister-in-law Mary Looney; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Lindsey (Camron), Chelsea Davis (Trent), Ariane Stroud, Rachel Mitchell (Mark), Jamie Miller (Quentin), Robert Teets Jr., Johnathan Teets and Austinn Fore. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
