He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert and Addie Penn (O'Bright); his wife Virgina L. Penn; his children, Marty Lightle and Janet Cottrell; his grandson Troy Wilson; his siblings, Jean Poole, Francis Grooms and Drexel Penn; and his nephews, Rubeu Smith and Jeff Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Edie Collins of Greenfield; his granddaughters, Kiara Dawn Worthington (Dave) of Greenfield and Sarah Wilson of Greenfield; and his sister Joyce Morris (Richard) of Bainbridge. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
