He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter L. "Bud" and Elaine Minniear (Mumma); his wife Deborah Kay Tomer; and his brothers, Harold Minniear and Thomas Minniear.
He is survived by: his children, Crystal Sterling (Scott) of Greenfield, Sarah Matthews (Tyler) of Bainbridge, Cindy Carr of Searsport, Maine and Jeremiah Sova (Maria Barrera) of Bainbridge; his close friend Donna Parker; his adoptive mother Annabelle Ames of Greenfield; his stepmother Carol Minniear of Columbus; and his siblings, Karen Renell (Bob) of Columbus, Kathie Minniear of Rainsboro, David Minniear (Lisa) of Rainsboro, Denny Minniear of Columbus and Ken Minniear (Jenny) of Columbus. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
