She was predeceased by: her parents, James T. Lewis and Mary Lewis (McCall); her husband Charles E. Carter; her siblings, Leo Lewis, Grover Lewis and Elsie Chamblin; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Lewis, Rachel Lewis, Velma Lewis and Floyd Chamblin.
She is survived by: her children, Philip W. Carter (Dawn) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Charles E. Jr. Carter (Vicki) of South Salem and Mary Jane Carter of Washington, C. H.; her grandchildren, Patricia Wenger, Paula Kassel, Phil Carter (Julie), James Carter (Heather) and Renee' Loyd (Roger); and her stepgrandsons, Scott Dyke (Debbie) and Todd Dyke. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren, nine great great-grandchildren.
