She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert and Alice; her husband James Dawson; her son John Dawson; and her sisters, Martha, Edie and Margie Robinson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Joy Dawson-Hune (Merle), Gayle Ropchock and Lynda Archer (Jeffrey); her grandchildren, Lori Brandt (Nolan), Kati Ropchock, Kristi Heisler (Brandon), Jodi Porter, Nicole Archer, Ashley Archer and Megan Archer; her great grandchildren, Rhett and Granger Brandt; and her siblings, Robert (Mary Jo) and Sally Sewell.
