She was predeceased by: her husband Kester Sr.; her son Lonnie; and her parents, Fred Cogar and Minnie Cogar. She is survived by: her sons, Kester Jr. (Karen), Kerry and David (Robin); and her sister Virginia Miller. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.

She enjoyed flowers, taking family videos, and she also donated to many charities.
