He is survived by: his children, Donna Whitney (Christopher), Donald Whitney (Kim) and Daniel Whitney (Mary); his grandchildren, Douglas Whitney (Stephanie) and Roenick Whitney; his great grandchildren, Isaac and Lucas Whitney; and his sister Phyllis Whitney.
