He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Kangas and Ruth Kangas (Drake); his son Dana R. Kangas; his girlfriend Cathy Limpert; and his siblings, Sarah Beall (Gene) and Richard.
He is survived by: his daughter Nina Detore (Jason); and his siblings, Jeannette Campbell (Jeff), Bill Kangas (Collette) and Arnie Kangas (Cindy).
