He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin F. Lowman and Vivian I. Lowman Leary (Horrell); and his brother Edwin F. Lowman Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, Charles D. Lowman Jr. (Wendy) of Baskerville, VA and Stephen G. Lowman (Amy) of Henderson, NC; his sisters, Vivian M. Leacock of Plattsburgh, NY and Helen L. Munshower of Pittsburgh; and his grandchildren, Charles D., Stephen G., Jason N., Jessica N., Caden T. and Katlyn M. Lowman. He is also survived by two grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contribution may be made to a charity of one's choice.
