Marie Jannette Smith Obituary
Marie Jeanette Smith (85) beloved Mother was called to her eternal resting place on December 29, 2017. She entered this world on September 30, 1932 in Cleveland, OH, born to Joseph and Anna Sciarabba. She attended Notre Dame Cathedral Latin. Marie married the love of her life Paul Smith. They lived in the Portage County area for the last 60 years.
She made her career in banking and loved sewing, crocheting and especially spending time with all her grandchildren. They had 5 children Gerry (John) Griffin, Paul (Debbie) Smith, Marie Young, Annette (Frank) Spadaro and Marilyn (Mike) Brown. She is survived by her sister, Josephine Sharaba and brother, Paul Sharaba. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Anthony and Joey and sister Antoinette Beck.
Also left to cherish her memory are 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Tuesday January 2nd 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday January 3rd at 11:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church 10692 Freedom St. Garrettsville, followed by Internment in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon. .
