He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis A. Showalter Sr. and Myrtle Showalter (Vincent); his former wife Patricia Showalter (Wright); his siblings, Glenn Showalter and Shirley Owens; his son-in-law Richard Fabry (Rick); and his granddaughter Ashley Fabry.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Showalter (Collins); his children, Patricia Fabry, Michael Showalter (Charity), Barb Showalter and Charles Showalter; his grandchildren, Shawnie Diehl (Russ), Jacklyn Zeigler (Shelly) of Michael, P. L, Victoria Showalter, Holly Showalter, Gabbi Showalter and Charli Showalter; and his great grandchildren, Andrew Gary, Landon, Carter Showalter, Ryan Zeigler, Stacy, Laynee, Reece Diehl, Colton Showalter, Dylan and Dakota.
