She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Salyer and Sarah Ann Salyer; her son Jesse Helton, Jr.; her grandson Michael Helton; and her sons-in-law, Lowell "Cotton" Hackworth and Buford Fairchild.

She is survived by: her children, Rose Fairchild of Galloway, Roger Helton of Thornville, OH and Margie Hackworth of Thornville; her daughter-in-law Judith Helton of Marysville, OH; her granddaughters, Diane Smith, Vicki Strickland and Amy Hoover (Jeffrey); and her siblings, Ollie Francis Salyer (Verna) of Galloway, Murlie Davis of Columbus, Paul Douglas Salyer (Carol) of Staffordsville, KY, Shirley Foster of Bainbridge, OH and Ardith Salyer (Connie) of London, OH. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren.
