He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Johnson and Eloise Whiteside Johnson; his former wife Judith "Judy" Johnson; his daughter Karla D'Augustine; and his brother Hugh Keith Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Vanderberg.
