He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kriegel and Laura Kriegel (Resh); his wife Carol F. Kriegel (Parsons); and his siblings, Paul Kriegel and Rita Pival.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael Kriegel (Cheryl) of Tucson and Thomas Kriegel (Rebecca) of Galion; and his grandchildren, Erin Cavazos, Lauren Hearon, Dawn Sutton and Mary Borders. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
