He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward C. Smith and Ruth Ann Smith (Stilts); his children, Allison Dumolt (Adam) and Mollie Smith (Deante Evans); his grandchildren, Avalyn, Jack Dumolt and Deante Evans, Jr.; his sisters, Kim Border (Mark) and Karen Shipley; his nieces and nephews, Blaire, Ryan and Megan; the mother of his children Sue Smith; and his close friend Jeff "Fly" Garrison.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Steve Smith Memorial Fund at Park National Bank.
