With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas B. Rider of Findlay, Ohio, who passed away on November 10, 2023 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolores Steinmetz, (Clouse) and Urban Steinmetz, Jr.; and his pets, Mattie and Molly. He is survived by: his stepfather Eugene Rider; his former wife Teresa Mareches; his children, Jacob Rider (Ashley) of Arlington, Jean Merecicky (Alex) of Marysville, Emily Rider (Dennis Beard) of Tiffin and Nathan Rider (Katie Jones) of Tecumseh, MI; his siblings, Gary Rider (Mary) of Tiffin, Lisa Taylor (Jim) of Cincinnati and Kathy Frederick (Greg) of Mill Spring, NC; and his grandchildren, Addisyn, Averi, Hadley and Henry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and six great nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca County Humane Society, or a local Veterans Group.

“Tom and I went through “boot camp “ at “paradise” island together in 1976. Tom was truly a great guy and a proud Marine. We always held a tight bond after that time.
