With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lafayette Walter Sowards of Findlay, Ohio, born in West Portsmouth, Ohio, who passed away on December 16, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sowards and Sylvia Diamond; and his children, Sylvia and Walter. He is survived by: his wife Judith; his children, Thomas Sowards (Shawn) of McComb, Jenny McRill (Brian) of Arlington, Renee (Amos Pettry) of Findlay, Gerald Sowards of Alpache Junction, AZ and Ashley Sowards of Findlay; and his brother Larry of North Carolina. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
