He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Powell and Harriett Powell (Nusser); his stepmother Mary Powell (Crozier); his siblings, Bob Flemming, Toby Flemming, Nell Woodruff and Dave Powell; his son-in-law William Hamilton; and his daughter Kathy.
He is survived by: his sister Nancy Powell (Steve Mellott); his children, Rick Powell, Dale Powell, Kathie Hamilton, Nile Powell (Bob), Rhonda George, James Powell (Lorena), John Henschen, Tammy Stahl (Jeff) and Cindy Long; and his godson Michael Sowers. He is also survived by numerous loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Memorials be made in Dick's name to: The Flag City Honor Flight or Christian Clearinghouse.
