He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose M. Ploeger (O'Brien) and Joseph B. Ploeger; his brothers, Joseph Ken Ploeger and Anthony David Ploeger; and his stepson Samson L. Bowman.
He is survived by: his brother Robert; his children, Erik Edward Ploeger (Jessica) and Jennifer Lyn Ploeger; his grandchildren, Adam Ploeger, Rachel Ploeger and Travis Ploeger; his stepchildren, Jennifer Bowman, Heather Hypes (Chris), Holly Mutlu (Semih), Heidi Morse (Jonathan) and Shawn Bowman (JohnnieAnne); and his wife Regina L. Allen (Jeanie) of Valentine's Day. He is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (7839 CR 136, Findlay, OH 45840). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at the Trinity Baptist Church (7839 Co Rd 136, Findlay, OH 45840).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Dave's name be donated to the Trinity Baptist Church's Veterans Ministry, 7839 County Road 236, Findlay, OH 45840.
