She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry Tidwell; and her son Justin Tidwell. She is survived by: her sons, Darrin Tidwell (Cheryl) and Scott Tidwell (Shelly); her grandchildren, Shelby Barnhart (Matthew), Madison Garrison (Ethan) and Alan Tidwell; her great grandchildren, Shaylor, Justin, Audrey, Lyla and Emerson Barnhart; her sister Alice Johnson (Bud); and her sister-in-law Wilma Stoops.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (1404 Goodale Blvd #200, Columbus, OH 43212) in Ruth's memory.
