He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Koontz and Edith V. Koontz Sr. (Slemp). He is survived by: his wife Sally Koontz (Myers); his children, Cynthia Jane Haupt (Samuel), Marianne Hoskins (Albert), Keith Koontz (Debbie) and Kevin Koontz (Monica); and his brother James M. Koontz Jr. (Lois). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter.
