He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Gilbert and Mary Gilbert; and his brother Jerry Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Ernestine; his children, Nicki and Tiffany of Elyria; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Camryn; his great grandchildren, Lola, Nia and Lorain; and his siblings, Valerie Warfield (Jerry), Sandra Gilbert, Lynn Gilbert, Anthony Gilbert (Irma) of Sacramento, CA, Michael Gilbert (Nadine) and Lorain. He is also survived by Many aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces.
