He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Matt Carpenter of Elyria and Kaylynn Carpenter of Elyria; and his siblings, Darlene Houck of Elyria, Sharon Westover (James) of Kent and James Carpenter (Linda) of Wakeman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
