He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa Lucretia and Emory Alva Chroninger; his daughter Michelle Fehler; and his brothers, Alva "Leroy" Chroninger and Robert Chroninger.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Chroninger; his children, Spencer Chroninger of Batavia, Denise Philipsen of Columbus and Beth Garber; his son-in-law James Garber of Virginia; his grandchildren, Reese and Lily; his sister Doris Matthews; and his sister-in-law Judy Chroninger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
