He was predeceased by: his father Juan O. Gonzales; his brothers, Kevin Rice and Frank Rice, Jr.; and his stepfather Dale Armstrong. He is survived by: his mother Maudie M. Gonzales (Hatfield) of Columbia; his close friend Cindy Sparkman; his children, Logan Jenkot of Columbia, Angel Gonzales of Angola and Tyler Gonzales; his stepchildren, Ashley Haviland (Michael) of Pendelton and T. J. Sparkman (Alyssa Willis) of Shipshewana, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jacob Haviland and K. C. Willis; his siblings, Stan Rice (Janice) of Las Vegas, Scott Rice of Montpelier, Juanita Mocherman (Terry) of Hamilton, Marcella Mullins (Frankie) of Columbia, Regina Phipps (John) of Angola, Juan Gonzales (Heather) of Angola, Carrie Miller (Tim) of Edon, Amanda Ross of Cincinnati, John Armstrong of Middletown and Joshua Gonzales of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his stepmother Bonnie Gonzales of Bryan; his parents-in-law, William and Marjorie Abbott of Foley, Alabama; his brother Donald; and his sister-in-law Jen Abbott of Ashley, Indiana. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, services and interment will be private with Greg Taylor officiating.
