He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Edward and Laura Bell Smith (Hupp); his son-in-law Thomas Wehrle; and his siblings, Delbert Smith, Ruth Piatt, Evelyn Nercinko and Bessie St. Austin.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Rose Smith (Fox); his children, Connie Wehrle and Jeff Smith (Andrea); his grandchildren, Brantley, Brady Smith, April McDaniel, Hillary Craycraft and Stephanie Huff; his great grandchild Arianna Johnson; his brother Merle; his nephew Dennis Piatt (Cheryl); and his nieces, Carol Briggs and Penny Hercher.
Due to the coronavirus, private services will be held at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.
