We are sad to announce that on August 3, 2022, at the age of 80, Bertha Jean Brooks of Dublin, Ohio, born in Memphis, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Bennett and Mary Bennett; and her siblings, Charles Bennett, Jr., Sgt. Robert Bennett, Mary Bennett and Rose Marie Jackson.
She is survived by: her husband Curtis Brooks, Sr.; her son Curtis Brooks, Jr. (Julie) of Plymouth, Michigan.; her granddaughter Grace; and her sisters-in-law, Rose Simms and Anna Turner. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers those wishing to honor Bertha are invited to make a donation in her name to the McDaniel Pitts New Salem Baptist Church Scholarship Fund.
