He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Ellen Levings; his sons, Richard and Randy; and his siblings, Irene Morrison and Robert Monte.

He is survived by: his grandsons, Randy and Chad Monte (Katrina); his sister-in-law Alice Wright; his niece Linda Pearch; his nephews, Gene, Kenny Morrison and Eric Hensley; his stepson Ed Hensley; and also Chanz Monte.
