He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Brown and Esther Brown (Olson); his wife Beverly Brown; his daughter Sandy Dobbins; and his siblings, Bud Brown, Jane Locy and Kate Little.

He is survived by: his son Tim Brown of Defiance; his grandchildren, Kristin Spencer (Allen), Shauna Brown, Matthew Dobbins and Melissa Snyder (Michael); his brother Will Brown; and his son-in-law Steve Dobbins. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
