He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul McCusty and Elizabeth McCusty (Grundstrom); and his siblings, Fred McCusty and Susan Lucier. He is survived by: his wife Arleen North; and his sons, Daniel Strong of Napoleon, OH and Michael Strong (Tracey) of Napoleon, OH. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
