With solemn reverence, we commemorate Nelson J. Hahn of Defiance, Ohio, whose life came to an end on October 25, 2024 at the age of 89, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Hahn and Lesta Hahn (Neiswander); his wife Barbara Ann Kime; and his siblings, George, Elmer Jr., Howard, Mary Lloyd, Avyinelle Lloyd and Vera Breckler.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Hahn (Peg), Jerry Hahn (Cheryl), Cindy Mack (Jeff) of Defiance and Chris Kreger (Barry) of Centerville Ohio; and his grandchildren, Philip Hahn (Monika), Matt Hahn (Daisy), Michael Hahn (Christina), Jacob Hahn (Fay), Cathy Tyda (Codey), Chris Hahn (Kate), Laura Hahn (Andrew), Ryan Mack (Erin), Shaun Mack (Kirstie), Lauren Kreger (Kyle) and Andrew Kreger (Erin). He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A vigil service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (715 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512).
Memorials are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul or Sisters of Notre Dame.
