He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tyler and Betty Tyler (Johnson); his daughter Carissa Tyler; and his sister Jane Ruggles. He is survived by: his sons, James A. Tyler (Lori) of Defiance and Brent Tyler (Marabeth) of Defiance; and his siblings, John Tyler (Theresa) of Defiance and JoAnn Guelde of Continental. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
