He was predeceased by: his parents, James Helland and Joan Helland (Melczak); and his sister Jodi Shong. He is survived by: his children, Zach Helland (Tiffany) of Defiance, Ashley Helland of Ottawa, OH and Aaron Helland (Samantha) of Ferndale, MI; his granddaughters, Arianna and Natalee Helland; his girlfriend Pam Sigler of Defiance; and his sister Jackie Pixler (Tom) of Defiance. He is also survived by his family and many good friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to CHP Defiance Area Hospice Center.
