He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. McMillen and Nancy E. McMillen (Stockman); and his sister Shelley McMillen. He is survived by: his children, Serenity Gonzales (Johnny) of Holgate, Andrew Cliffton of Defiance, Christian Cliffton of Fort Wayne, Josiah Cliffton (Lauren) of Fort Wayne, Hannah McMillen of Florida, Emily McMillen of Indianapolis, Katie and Thad McMillen; and his brother Jay McMillen. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
