He was predeceased by: his father Harry Durkee; his former wife Naidine Durkee (Johnson); his siblings, John Durkee and Ruth Smith; and his sister-in-law Joan Durkee.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Taylor; his son David Durkee (Debbie) of Grand Rapids, MI; his stepchildren, Jon Lafferty (Miriam) of West Seneca, NY, Dan Lafferty (Renee) of Moore, SC, Lois Lafferty-Gude (Ray) of St. Louis, MO and Tom Lafferty (Linda) of Coshocton; and his nieces and nephews, Pat Simon (John), Sue Runyon, Eddie Smith (Andi), Harry Smith (Sherry) and Art Smith (Amanda). He is also survived by nine step grandchildren; seventeen step great grandchildren.
