She was predeceased by: her father Oscar Hempfling; her husband Walter Schroeder; her brothers, Gerard Hempfling, Robert Hempfling and Ralph Hempfling (Rosalie); her stepmother Gertrude Hempfling; and her stepsiblings, Jane Freund and Thomas Freund.

She is survived by: her children, Roger Schroeder (Sharon) of Bluffton, Dwain Schroeder (Anne) of Columbus Grove, Eugene Schroeder (Karen) of Granville, Kathleen Beattie (William) of Little Rock, AR, Debra Sennet (Michael) of Miamisburg and Karen Driver (Robert) of Marietta, GA.; her siblings, Angela Schroeder of Bluffton, Velma Kill of Wapakoneta and Steve Hempfling (Cathy) of Mariposa, CA; her siblings-in-law, Robert Utendorf of Columbus Grove, Kenneth (Virginia) of Columbus Grove and Alice Evans (Don) of Columbus, NC.; and her stepbrothers, James Freund (Mary) of Lima and Robert Freund (Pat) of Sidney. She is also survived by her six children and their spouses.
